Sunburn

LESPAIN alleviates sunburn pain fast with pain relieving lidocaine and moisturizes with urea and allantoin. Sunburn may not show up immediately, but peaks 15 to 20 hours after the damage was done. Symptoms include red, painful skin, blisters and feeling hot.

Lotions that work

Treatments that take the sting, redness and itching out of a sun burnt skin include:

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is probably the best remedy for a sun burnt skin as it causes blood vessels to constrict and takes the sting and redness out of the sunburn. Buy an aloe vera plant at a nursery, slit open the leaves and apply the gel directly to the burn. Aloe dissolved in products can lose much of their efficacy.

Topical Anaesthetics

Look for products that contain lidocaine, such as LESPAIN because they are unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. Still, first apply some lotion to a small area of skin to see if you are not allergic to it.

Other tips

Drink plenty of water (until your urine is clear). You can easily become dehydrated after sunburn Take a mild water and vinegar bath if you are feeling very hot. It may ease the discomfort. Regularly apply chilled moisturizer to Sun burn as well as cool water compresses dries the skin out. LESPAIN contains both a moisturizer and an analgesic.

Don't prick the ensuing blisters. Place a cool water compress on them Stay out of the sun. It takes several months for your skin to heal after a burn. If you go into the sun too soon, you will burn faster and cause even more damage.

When to see a doctor

In some cases it is better to see a doctor than to treat sunburn at home. See a doctor if:

  • You have extensive blistering, You have a total body burn
  • Your blisters break and become infected
  • You develop chills and a fever or feel shaky
  • You have flu-like symptoms
  • The pain and itching get worse after the first 24 hours
LESPAIN®  uses lidocaine which belongs to the family of medicines called local analgesics.

When lidocaine is applied to the skin, it produces pain relief by blocking the signals at the nerve endings.

Apply topical LESPAIN® sparingly for temporary relief from minor pain
